Helloo!
After years in the high-stakes world of executive support, I realized that the best assistants arenโt just “helpers”โthey are the Workflow Alchemists and Time Lords who keep the wheels turning. I created EA Mentor to share the systems, the secrets, and the sanity-saving strategies Iโve gathered along the way. Iโm here to help you move past the “to-do list” and into a role of true strategic partnership.
I’m Anne Thompson, the EA Mentor. My mission is to help EAs master Workflow Alchemyโturning the chaos of executive support into a high-performance engine, while reclaiming the time to enjoy the ride.
I believe that the role of an Executive Assistant isnโt just about managing a calendarโitโs about mastering the “nvisible engine that drives an organization forward. With over two decades of experience supporting high-level leaders at organizations like Amazon, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, and Swedish Medical Center, Iโve navigated the complexities of global operations across 14 countries.
I created EA Mentor to bridge the gap between “getting things done” and true strategic partnership. My mission is to help you evolve into a Workflow Alchemist who creates order from chaos and a Time Lord who protects the most precious resource of all: focus. Whether you are looking for a tactical edge or a better way to balance your own work-life integration, Iโm here to share the blueprint for a sustainable, high-impact career.
Fast Facts & In the Trenches Lore
- The Global Footprint: Iโve managed space and seat assignments for thousands of associates across the US, Canada, India, and Londonโonce tracking an org-level workbook for over 2,000 associates simultaneously.
- The Efficiency Win: One of my proudest Workflow Alchemist moments was creating a space audit mechanism that saved my team 34 hours in just eight months and slashed email churn by 50%.
- A Commitment to Growth: I donโt just use systems; I teach them. Iโve served as a Curriculum Lead and Mentor for the Amazon EA in Training Program, helping over 200 EAs sharpen their skills.
- The Certified Edge: I hold an Advanced Certificate for the Executive Assistant (ACEA) and am an IAAP Certified Administrative Professional (CAP) with specialties in HR and Organizational Management.
- Beyond the Desk: When Iโm not auditing workflows, Iโve spent time serving the community through the United Way Day of Caring and the American Red Cross.

Thatโs me on the right, with my husband and the ultimate Time Lord, Jodie Whittaker. While I haven’t quite mastered traveling through space and time in a TARDIS, I have spent 20+ years mastering the art of the Executive Calendarโwhich, letโs be honest, sometimes requires a similar set of skills.
Why the Temporal Engineer Title? I don’t want to violate someone else’s IP. Iโm a fan of a certain long-running British sci-fi show (though meeting Jodie Whittaker & Peter Davison were definitely highlights!). Itโs because the best EAs share a Doctor-like quality: we step into chaos, assess the variables, and find a way to save the dayโall while keeping an eye on the clock.
In my world, being a Temporal Engineer is about:
Protecting the Future: Anticipating your Executive’s needs before they even know they have them.
Mastering the Dimension: Making 50 hours of work fit into a 40-hour week without breaking the laws of physics (or your sanity).
Work-Life Integration: Making sure that at the end of the day, you can step out of the office and spend time with the people who matter mostโlike my husband (and the occasional Doctor).
I’m not taking on new clients right now, but I’m pouring everything I know into my monthly newsletter. If you want the insider perspective, I’d love to have you there.
